What is Physiotherapy and how can it help my pet?

Physiotherapy uses physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being. Alongside veterinary treatment, physiotherapy works to achieve the optimum results for your pet, improving range of movement and preventing injury in the future.

Physiotherapy can be used to aid your pet’s mobility post-surgery, after diagnosis of a condition or following injury. Physiotherapy can reduce pain, improve mobility, prevent recurrence of injury, aid early weight bearing and to reduce muscle loss.

The services offered within clinic utilise a combination of different treatment techniques including manual therapies, LASER therapy, pulsed magnetic therapy and exercise prescription. Each programme is specialised to you and your pets needs and goals by our qualified therapist Ellie to include a home programme where suitable.

Dogs, cats and other small pets are able to benefit from out services.

Physiotherapy is available for Evergreen clients and by direct referral from other Veterinary surgeries.
